For the fourth time during this pandemic, the NPS, through the Special Projects Division and the NPS Trainers, formally welcomed into the DOJ-NPS Family and thirty-six (36) newly-appointed prosecutors for the Office of the Prosecutor General, National Capital Region prosecution offices, as well as various regional prosecution offices nationwide. Aside from being welcomed, the new prosecutors were also trained on the basic prosecutorial knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
The Honorable Prosecutor General Benedicto A. Malcontento, who led the welcome and opening ceremonies of the onboarding, exhorted the new prosecutors to uphold and live by the values of the NPS, foremost of them are proficiency and integrity.
The 5-day onboarding training is a simplified version of a more rigorous Program for Onboarding Prosecutors, the entry-level training program under the Life-Long Learning and Development Curriculum for Prosecutors.
The graduation day of the said onboarding seminar, as with the first three that were held on June, July and September 2020, saw the new prosecutors expressing their profound gratitude for the warm welcome and invaluable learnings they received from the NPS officials and the prosecutors-trainers during the week-long online training.
