Remulla to NBI Academy elite grads: Serve with honor and make a difference

Committed to enforce the rule of law with utmost efficiency and unwavering resolve, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” C. Remulla led yesterday the commencement exercises for the 52nd National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Agents’ Basic Training Program.

A total of 44 elite class NBI agents successfully completed the 6-month training course where 4 months of which were held at the NBI Academy in Baguio City while the remaining 2 months were spent for their On-the-Job Training at the NBI main office at the Filinvest Cyberzone in Pasay City.

The graduates are composed of 32 lawyers, 10 Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and 2 registered criminologists.

“Always remember why you chose this path, to serve, to protect and make a difference,” part of Sec. Remulla’s marching orders to the new graduates.

Moreover, the Justice Secretary disclosed his vision and future plans for the NBI beginning from this step of revitalizing the bureau’s functions and manpower.

“We will be looking forward to an NBI whose capability is world class and beyond compare to any other institution... We will build the cybercrime division into the strongest one in the country,” the Secretary emphasized.

In closing, the batch class valedictorian made a call to action, stating, “I challenge my fellow batchmates to strive to become brilliant NBI agents who are persons of integrity, strength and knowledge. As the future leaders of this institution, let us be men and women of excellence for our colleagues and our society.”
