To our dear members of the DOJ Family, my fellow public servants, a rainy but a very blessed Monday morning to all!
During my very first Flag Ceremony with you as the steward of our DOJ, I promised that we will all endeavor to make the DOJ better, far better than when we found it.
Today, as we break ground to herald the construction of our new DOJ Adminstration Building, we are one step closer towards realizing that promise.
And there is more.
On Friday, January 19, 2018, we will also break ground on our long sought DOJ Academy and Training Center in Tagaytay City where all our trainings, including free MCLEs for our lawyers will be conducted in the very near future.
The year 2017 saw us making great inroads toward addressing key areas of concern by our people from equipment to trainings and better benefits.
The good news here, at least for all of you, is that we are just getting started.
Expect to feel, to see and to experience more meaningful changes for a better DOJ this 2018.
In return I only ask that you serve our people well in the name of justice. Please help me make all the buildings that we will erect a bastion for justice and a monument for dedicated public service. Let it not be a haven for the corrupt and for the tainted.
Together we can do more. Let us do more.
May the Almighty bless this project and all our projects with His very abundant grace. God bless the DOJ Family!
Thank you and good morning.
