As part of the operation, authorities also implemented a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) no. 25-05, allowing law enforcement to collect crucial digital evidence that will strengthen the case against the perpetrator.
On the same date at about 6:00 PM, the Digital Forensic Examiner of RACU10 conducted On-Site Digital Forensic Examination to the mobile phone owned by the suspect resulted in the discovery of several CSAEMs and the consequent arrest of the suspect for the possession of CSAEM under R.A. No. 11930.
The Internet Crime Against Children Investigators of PNP WCPC-MFU conducted an extensive online surveillance and cyber patrolling after encountering the Facebook account that the suspect used to offer minor victims in exchange of money.
The arrested suspect identified as Andres (not his real name), was caught facilitating, producing, and distributing child sexual abuse exploitation materials (CSAEM) online.
This operation is a strong message that the PNP WCPC-MFU, together with our partner agencies, will relentlessly pursue individuals who exploit children online. We remain committed to protecting our children from these heinous crimes and ensuring that offenders are held accountable.
The rescued victims have been placed under the protective custody of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO)-Iligan City for immediate assessment, evaluation and intervention.
