DOJ pursues Enzo Pastor slay brains/widow hiding abroad; to work with other countries for immediate extradition

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Boying Remulla will "not take sitting down" reports that Dalia Guerrero Pastor, the said co-conspirator in the killing of her husband race car champion Ferdinand “Enzo” Pastor, has left the country to hide somewhere in Indonesia or Malaysia.

This comes after the Supreme Court (SC) has overturned the ruling of the Court of Appeals (CA) which dismissed the parricide charges against his widow Dalia Pastor and consequently reinstating the arrest warrant and hold departure order (HDO) against her.

Approximately ten years ago, renowned racing champ Enzo was on board his truck along with his mechanic when they came at a stop upon reaching a traffic light along Visayas Avenue in Quezon City where a man suddenly approached the driver’s side of his vehicle and shot him dead.

Aside from Dalia, the Department of Justice (DOJ) earlier charged two other personalities for the murder of Enzo who were identified as Police Officer II Edgar Angel and Dalia's alleged lover Domingo De Guzman.

However, In 2015, Dalia was able to convince the Court of Appeals (CA) to dismiss the charges against her citing that her mere knowledge about the murder plot was insufficient to establish her as the mastermind in the murder plot.

Now that the High Court had the tables turned in pursuit for justice, Secretary Remulla will personally heed the calls of Enzo Pastor's family to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the DOJ to hunt down her ex-wife abroad.

"The wheels of justice will not remain idle or passive now that the High Court has passed down its judgment, the DOJ will join our partner agencies in hunting down the mastermind of Enzo Pastor's murder," Sec Remulla stressed.

"We will also be working with our international counterparts to track down and extradite Dalia as soon as possible, ten years have passed and this is the time to prove that the present administration will do whatever it takes to get the job done at all costs," the Secretary added.

The DOJ has time and again remained relentless in bringing to the fold those who misuse and abuse the law.
