Outgoing Justice Secretary Emmanuel Caparas exhorted all DOJ officials and employees to “please give your wholehearted support to the incoming administration.”

Caparas made the call during this morning’s flag-raising ceremony, his last, as DOJ Chief.

He also urged them to “give it your best” and dedicate and commit themselves to the people for whom government employees work. He said regardless of who sits as DOJ Secretary “we work for the people. We do our best for the people.”

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Atty. Vitaliano Aguirre II to succeed Caparas to the post.

Caparas took the helm of the DOJ vice Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa following the latter’s appointment to the Supreme Court.
