The 3-Day Cascading Forum on R.A. No. 11930, otherwise known as the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Material (CSAEM) Act, was a raging success.

Last 20-22 February 2024, the DOJ National Coordination Center against OSAEC and CSAEM (NCC-OSAEC-CSAEM), together with World Vision Philippines - Project Against Child Exploitation (Project ACE), Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) held a Cascading Forum on R.A. No. 11930 at B Hotel, Quezon City.

The event was crafted with a target audience per day, namely: Internet Service Providers (February 20), Payment Service Providers (February 21), and Vloggers, Influencers and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) (February 22).

Assistant Secretary Jose Dominic Clavano IV opened the event on February 20. Meanwhile, DOJ lawyers - Senior State Counsel Atty. Mary Grace Quintana, Atty. Ma. Lara Dominique Sanchez, and Atty. Immaculate Marie Adzuara - discussed the salient features of R.A. No. 11930 on different dates.

Distinguished representatives from the DICT, CWC, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), Philippine National Police - Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG), PNP Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC), and digital creators also formed part of the roster of speakers.

Notably, the local government of Quezon City also joined the forum and shared updates on the proposed “Anti-OSAEC and CSAEM” and “Child Labor in the Digital Economy” ordinances in their city.

The NCC-OSAEC-CSAEM would like to extend its gratitude to World Vision Philippines, CWC, and DICT for leading this significant endeavor.
