DOJ Marks its 106th Anniversary

The Department of Justice (DOJ) marks its 106th Foundation Anniversary tomorrow, 26 September 2003.
The occasion shall be highlighted by a walkathon entitled "Walk for Justice" to commence from the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Roxas Boulevard, Manila to the DOJ Compound in Padre Faura, Manila.
The walkathon shall be participated by officials and employees of the of the Department of Justice and its agencies namely the National Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Immigration, Public Attorney's Office, Office of the Solicitor General, Office of the Government Corporate Counsel, Bureau of Corrections, Parole and Probation Administration, Commission on the Settlement of Land Problems and the Board of Pardons and Parole.
A short program shall follow with Justice Secretary Simeon Datumanong as the keynote speaker.
Tokens of appreciation and special prizes shall be awarded to participating agencies. Loyalty awards shall be conferred to officials and employees who have served the Department for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years.
In the afternoon, basketball and volleyball exhibition games shall be held among the agencies at the DOJ Quadrangle.
