SEARCH ON FOR DOJ OUTSTANDING PROSECUTOR AND PUBLIC ATTORNEY

The DOJ has launched a nationwide search for Outstanding Prosecutor, Public
Attorney, and DOJ employee, and employees and officials of attached
agencies.
Posters for information dissemination together with the list of
requirements, criteria and nomination forms for the quest has been
distributed to all the offices of the DOJ all over the country and all its
agencies.
General criteria include unimpeachable integrity, demonstrated competence
and contribution to service/community/government, with no record of
administrative and criminal convictions.
The specific criteria for prosecutor and public attorney comprise quality
and quantity of resolutions/pleadings and outcome of cases
prosecuted/handled for the past three (3) years, judicial decorum in and out
of court.
For DOJ employee, the criteria include dedication to duty and loyalty,
rapport with the public and co-employees, efficiency and effectiveness and
significant contribution/s to DOJ.
The offices/bureaus under the DOJ are the National Prosecution Service,
National Bureau of Investigation, Public Attorney's Office, Bureau of
Immigration, Bureau of Corrections, Land Registration Authority, Parole and
Probation Administration, Office of the Government Corporate Counsel, and
Commission on the Settlement of Land Problems.
Nomination/s may be submitted to heads of concerned agency/bureau. Deadline
for submission is on 31 August 2004.
